The artist
Benjo writes and performs out of Austin: rock with Australian roots, written for the stage and the speakers. Debut single Coffee Shop is out now.
He founded Songwriting Sanctuary, a writers' room in Austin that is growing on film and online. People show up in vulnerability, in a community that celebrates them. Transformation happens. It only happens in the Sanctuary.
He also makes documentaries. Love Back to Country won Best International Documentary Short at AIFF 2026. This summer: Sanctuary Road, Benjo & The Fonts and seven songwriters crossing the American West on camera, with a documentary bound for the 2027 festival circuit.

Songwriting Sanctuary started as a small circle in Austin. Benjo founded it. It is now a paid membership community with live events and a national story being filmed as it grows.
